Ray Noble (Raymond Stuart Noble; December 30, 1903 - April 2, 1978) was an English composer, arranger, and bandleader trained at the Royal College of Music who became one of the most successful transatlantic popular songwriters of the interwar period, best known for Love Is The Sweetest Thing, The Very Thought of You, and Isle of Capri.
