Articles on politics, travel, world affairs, missions, ecclesiastical affairs, literature, theology, science etc. Volume I contains two contributions from Thomas Chalmers at pp81-7(on the Evangelical Alliance) and 181-4(What might be done for the Evangelization of Edinburgh?). Half brown leather hardbacks with marbled boards and gilt titles to spines; edges speckled red. Very good condition. Number stickers to spines - probably from a library though there are no other library markings. Tops a little dusty, slight foxing near ends and occasionally to pages, pages occasionally browned, offsetting from leather to corners of endpapers. Slight wear to corners, a little loss of paper to edges, spines quite worn. PLEASE NOTE: heavyish set so extra postage may be needed.
