Early issue but no publication date. With pasted-in note from famed children's book collector William Macey Stone, in his handwriting and with his New York address printed at top. With charming art deco illustrations in pastel tones of the era. Harlequin design on covers and borders of endpapers. Clean and bright with unopened pages. Ink offset at lower edge of page facing title page. In bright tidy shape, with moderate light rubbing to edges, and small repair to tear at lower front edge.
