The Lucky Generation 1930 to 2030 if We are Lucky (Paperback or Softback)

Those born in America in the late 1920s to early 1940s were dubbed the Silent Generation. A generation small in number, too young to fight in World War II, too old to fight in Vietnam, were allegedly born at a time that set them up for success. A generation that wanted simple lives: to get married and have good jobs and save for their retirement. Dean Norman is one of the Lucky Few. His memoir, The Lucky Generation, is a collection of anecdotes from his childhood growing up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, his career as a greeting card writer for Hallmark Cards and American Greetings and his adventures exploring the outdoors that inspired his comic strip Wally's Woods. Including stories recounted by colleagues and friends, this is a light-hearted, humorous account of a man who, if granted one wish, would wish that every generation could be as lucky as his.
