About the Author

Dan Paley is the author of Luigi and the Barefoot races, a picture book about the races he and his friends ran as children on hot summer nights in Philadelphia. He is also the author of Rubio and Julienne, A Sweet and Cheesy Tale, to be published by Tilbury House. Dan has also written for the Wall Street Journal, McSweeney's Internet Tendency, and the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Aaron Boyd (Milwaukee, WI) has been illustrating children's books and magazines for more than 20 years, with a focus on multicultural themes and animal fairy tales. He is the illustrator of 25 children s books including Babu's Song, Daddy Goes to Work, Can't Take a Bath, and the Panda Goes to School series. His pop-up Storybook Year won a Clio Top 4 award and was inducted into the Smithsonian Rare Books collection. Aaron's books have also received Children's Africana Book, Choices Sports, Notable Children s Book, and Hermes Creative awards, and his advertising graphics have received Addy Gold and Graphis awards.
