About this seller
Luke A Vavra was a map and book dealer using the trade name Cartographic Arts for about 25 years until illness forced him to give up the business a few years ago. He and his late wife Patricia had a web site and participated in Map Fairs and Book Fairs from Boston to Miami and west to Denver. In 2023 Luke re-established this business under the name Luke A Vavra Rare Maps and Books. The firm does not have a brick-and-mortar store but would welcome discussions via e-mail.

Payment in U.S. dollars. You may pay by credit card, bank check, wire transfer or by personal or business check to us. You may pay through Paypal, but we limit payments through PayPal to $2,000.00. Customers outside the USA are responsible for paying any applicable taxes and feess impsed by the recieving country such as , tariffs, dutues and customs. Transactuons greater than $10,000.00 USD must be made by wire transfer from your bank to ours, unless another method has been approved .

Free packaging and shipping for domestic ground shipments. Domestic shipping by air is $40. 00. International shipments at acutal s cost (about $90.00).International shipments are by air only. Shipments are insured at no cost to buyers.
