12mo, 19,5cm, viii,[1],177p., with a beautiful tinted litho-graphed frontis plate, title page printed in black and red, complete with half title, with 150 plates containing 432 mark illustrations identifying each company, in the original pebbled cloth, spine titles faded, gilt upper cover crest and titles, edge bit worn, a very good to fine. (cgc) I have only had this book once previously, in the 1970's, and this is the same copy. Includes an "Alphabetical Index of Names of Proprietors", (pp153-162). It identifies the timber marks of 432 lumber and timber companies in Quebec and Ontario, particularly those of the Ottawa River Valley.
