World War II is finally over and what is everyone at Harvard thinking about? The history of calligraphy and lettering. Philip Hofer decides it's high time to publish a series of books on the topic and this is the first. It includes a survey of constructed roman alphabets and then translates and reproduced a near-forgotten chapter from Verini's Elements of Lettering printed in the 1520s. A dry read with lots of things to steal. We think you could easily turn this into a striking set of roman caps for digital distribution and profit. Fine in very good slipcase 454.
