Ostap Slyvynsky is an internationally published Ukrainian poet, translator, essayist, and scholar. His work has earned him the Lviv City of Literature UNESCO Prize, the Medal for Merit to Polish Culture, and the Hubert Burda Poetry Prize. In 2015, Slyvynsky collaborated with composer Bohdan Sehin on a media performance dedicated to civilian victims of war. He organizes PEN Ukraine’s festival Propysy, and in 2022, launched a literary project documenting Russian aggression against Ukraine.
