Synopsis
Breathing in and breathing out is the name of life. The brain is damaged after four minutes of not breathing, and the person dies in 4-10 minutes. The horsepower for this breathing cycle is the lungs. The brain, heart, kidneys, and other organs depend on the lungs for oxygen supply. If the lungs have an infection, meaning they can not function properly, all other organs have multiorgan failure— death. One million people in America get pneumonia each year and 50, 000 die. The mortality is very high in debilitated persons. The recent epidemic of COVID-19 took millions of lives around the globe. Knowledge, about why infections happen, how they happen, and what can be done about them, is essential to keep the breathing cycle intact. Each person should know about viruses, bacteria, fungi, and parasites that cause infections. This book gives you a clear picture of how to familiarize yourself with them. You should be able to prevent, avoid, take measures, fight, and cure yourself with your doctor. 1A This book will increase your sensitivity to understanding breathing problems and the importance of the lungs. It is written in layman’s terms. It is also my observations in this medical field for many years, working as a primary care doctor. I have seen and treated them in clinics, nursing homes, hospitals, and intensive care units. The reader will know the signs and symptoms, diagnostic approach, and best treatments. It gives you the complications of infections like breathing difficulty, on a breathing machine, brain infection, seizure, and coma. You can avoid these complications in advance if you act proactively for yourself and your family. Understanding the seriousness of the problem and taking care in advance, or corrective measures afterward. This is the right attitude in life. Taking care of yourself is taking care of LUNGS and own LIFE.
