Lyra and Alira Intergalactic Vampires: Science Fiction

The cargo freighter Aquila IV drifted through the
asteroid belt of Lythra, its hull scarred from
decades of service. Inside, the hum of fusion cores
echoed through the storage bays, and
the stale recycled air carried the metallic scent of
machinery.
Captain Kael Veyra sat alone on the bridge, staring
at the blinking radar displays. He was a
man who had survived too many wars, his face
carved by years of fatigue and unhealed
memories.
