MAGI Rising: - Malicious Artificial General Intelligence

Talbot takes you on an insider's journey through a project that may some day soon be created to protect the humankind as we know it from the existential threat of an evil super-intelligence. This book tells a painfully concise story, written from an engineering perspective, about how a malicious super-intelligence would, in the worlds of the near future, be detected, assessed, and neutralized.
In the not-too-distant future, the term “MAGI” will have an additional meaning – Malicious Artificial General Intelligence – a software agent, anticipated to take the form of an application, on the Planet Wide Web. In this era, people interact with computers more than ever, the Internet of Things is a potent force for efficiency, and cyber crime continues unabated. As the story begins, the presence of a MAGI has not been confirmed, although it's eventual appearance has been widely discussed for decades. This science fiction novel, about a team of engineers tasked with detecting and eradicating MAGI, provides significant detail on what we might expect, what emerging super-intelligence looks like, and how it is defeated.
