First edition of Edwin Lefèvre's classic Wall Street novel, following the career and philosophy of stockbroker John Kent Wing. Lefèvre is best known for Reminiscences of a Stock Operator, and this work provides an entertaining fictionalized account of Wall Street and the workings of a brokerage house during the 1920s. Condition: Good to Very Good. The book is complete and the binding remains sound. Original cloth boards show light shelf wear and some rubbing, with fading to the gilt spine lettering. Pages are age-toned, as expected for a book of this age, with some light scattered foxing/soiling. Text appears clean and unmarked. Binding is intact. Dust jacket: Original 1925 dust jacket is present and complete. The jacket has age toning, rubbing, and wear along the edges and corners, with some small areas of wear. It is housed in a protective clear sleeve. The original dust jacket is scarce and adds considerable collectible value to this copy. A desirable early edition of an important Wall Street classic, particularly notable with its original dust jacket.
