Book describes "the principle, construction, and running of large marine sets; also faults, with their cause and remedy, etc. Arranged as a text-book for the Board of Trade examinations, for oil motor certificates, endorsements, and permits". Tight binding. No chips, tears, creases or written inscriptions on pages. Blue coverboards with gilt lettering. Dampstain on lower portion of coverboards. Previous owners name on front free endpaper. Contains 808 illustrations (line and half-tone), many which fold-out. Size: Sm 4to (9" to 11"). 608 pp.
