Kamal I.M. Al-Malah, Ph.D., is head of the department of chemical engineering at the University of Ha’il in Saudi Arabia. He holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in chemical/biochemical engineering. Dr. Al-Malah graduated from Oregon State University in 1993, and his area of specialty during his M.S. and Ph.D. programs dealt with protein interactions and behavior at interfaces in biological systems. He currently researches in the realm of chemical and biochemical engineering and food engineering. Additionally, Dr. Al-Malah is a software developer and has created Windows-based software for engineering applications and modeling of physical/biophysical systems.
