Dark blue cloth cover with gilt sp. lettering, no obvious faults. xiv + 461, numerous text figs; prev. owner's small gilt label top corner fr. pastedown and an early small sig. top fr. end-paper, 2 sheets with children's drawings and notes slipped in. Unclipped jacket fairly wrecked but salvaged by extensive internal tear repair using archival tear-repair tape, a number of minor nicks and chips remain, a larger one to top spine, generally clean but sp. mostly darkened with what looks like a stain mark to bottom, back tanned across top edge and to spine region, will add protective sleeve when ordered as scarce and fr. has relevant explanatory text.
