Neuware - Cat�logo de la exposici�n que se celebrar� en la Sala Recoletos, Fundaci�n MAPFRE, Madrid, del 22 de septiembre de 2023 al 7 de enero de 2024La exposici�n de Medardo Rosso (Tur�n, 1858- Mil�n 1928), que incluye esculturas, fotograf�as y dibujos, tiene un car�cter de investigaci�n en cuanto a recuperar la memoria de uno de los artistas primordiales para el arte del siglo XX, por su concepci�n abierta, espacial e interactiva de la obra escult�rica en cuanto a su visi�n hol�stica de la creaci�n pl�stica que sobrepasaba en mucho el entorno cognitivo de la �poca y apuntaba, desde luego, no s�lo a la vanguardia m�s atrevida de la preguerra mundial sino tambi�n a los desarrollos libertarios del arte vividos a partir de los a�os sesenta del pasado siglo.La muestra se estructurar� en torno a conceptos desarrollados por Rosso a trav�s de su aproximaci�n creativa: la lucha contra la materia, la consideraci�n de la luz como la esencia de las cosas, su actitud contra lo estatuario que le lleva a valorar el entorno, la consideraci�n del espacio como esencial, la valoraci�n del punto de vista y el inter�s de la percepci�n y su cualidad lum�nica. En palabras del artista: �Nada es material en el espacio, porque todo es espacio y, por lo tanto, todo es relativo�. Este es el principio que le lleva a pasar de la escultura a la fotograf�a y al dibujo en la b�squeda incesante de sus ideas.
