34 x 21 cm. pp. [217]. The pagination for each reel is numbered separately. 'Melody' is a 1971 British film directed by Waris Hussein about two schoolchildren who love each other and want to marry. It was released as S.W.A.L.K. in the United Kingdom (S.W.A.L.K. is a message traditionally written on the envelopes of love letters by British schoolchildren, standing for Sealed With A Loving Kiss). The film was the first produced by David Puttnam, and it was also Alan Parker's first screenplay. It starred Jack Wild, Mark Lester and Tracy Hyde and had music by the Bee Gees. Not a commercial success in Britain or America, the film was hugely popular in Japan. Very good. Seller Inventory # C24508
