Three volume set. Profusely illustrated with maps, facsimiles, etc. The leather is light brown calf, with red marbled covers, and edges and eps marbled to match. Spines are ribbed, with gilt decorated and gilt titling panels. Volume 2 has been rebacked, with the original back strip retained. On volume 3, the front hinge is split open, so that the front cover and spine, while still attached, are both floating. All volumes show considerable shelf wear, with edges scraped and rubbed, and corners bruised. The leather shows considerable scuffing. The titling panels on all volumes have been mostly scraped off, although the gilt lettering is still legible. Vol 1 has a short gift inscription on the ffep. Otherwise, the texts and bindings are clean and sturdy. Because of the substantial weight, additional shipping charges will apply. Seller Inventory # 000509
