Edward Arnold, London, 1913. Illustrated with b&w plates. 6" x 9". Blue cloth, ink owner name on the endpaper, foxed throughout, ends of spine rubbed. 328 pp + 16 pp book ads. The memoirs of an Admiral, who entered the service on H.M.S. Victory in 1854. Includes a page on duck hunting in Hawaii; a page on pheasant shooting in China; 7 pp on elephant hunting in Ceylon; 3 pp on snipe, duck and alligator shooting in Jamaica; spearing sea turtles ("I think that this turtle hunting was quite as good sport as any salmon-fishing, and I have always put salmon-fishing second only to hunting"); and other short mentions of fishing and shooting throughout. Foxed, but good to very good.
