Boot Camp training changed Bobby's life style, mental, emotional, and physically to serve his country willingly, he became a member of forty nine ninety nine a non-swimming company the majority of its members were that of Bobby's ethnicity, they will be there until they learn how to swim, classroom training was there to enlighten their swimming abilities, Bobby got a chance to pass his swimming test, that when his three months of boot camp training begin up at dawn before the sun learning the skill of a seaman, according to his aptitude test, Clerical would be the type of work Bobby would be assigned to do, but under the his instructor's advise, Bobby volunteered for the aviation field of work, after Bobby graduated from boot camp, he became a full-blooded Sailor, and he was assigned to attended the Fleet Prep. School located in Millington, Tennessee where they will learn how to work on the flight desk of an air craft carrier and the U.S.S. Independence CV-62, was the ship they sent him t, sitting in the dry dock on the East Coast, Norfolk, Virginia was its homeport , Portsmouth, Virginia where its sits across the Elizabeth River when Bobby became a member of it, meeting a family of friends, recognizing the ethnicity each of them were born in, just about every weekend nights there would be a racial fight, some people lost their lives, others got kick out of the Navy, because of this situation, Bobby was
