Please see any and all photos connected with this listing. A bit scuffed but all pages intact and legible. Good reading copy. Clean. Store Stamped. --- --- Jackie Greenstein is a victim of The Midas Compulsion. The Stock Market is his obsession, and though he is pushing gold mining stocks, not everyone Jackie touches will find gold. . . . .The Midas Compulsion is a novel that takes you beyond the confines of Toronto's Bay Street and New York's Wall Street. It takes the reader where no book about the buying and selling of stocks has ever been able to go before - into the private lives of the special breed of greed merchants who manage one of the highest risk games there is. . . . .Through Jackie "the Kid", the syndicate boys will make their pile; so will the boys from the Mafia. So will the publishers of the phony tip sheets and the stock touts who make up Jackie's roving army. It's only those really close to Jackie who will suffer. Like Catherine, whose unequivocal love for him proves her undoing. Like Shirley, who loves him at his convenience. Like Ruth, Jackie's wife, who loves him faithfully. And like the men around him would like to live honestly in a dishonest world. . .See photos for additional content. . .…
