11 x 7.25" black string-bound album with "Photographs" in faded gold on the front cover. This album is from 1927 to 1932 and contains around 115 black-and-white photos and real photo postcards of travel around the Midwestern United States. In particular, the man and woman pictured in the album visited locations in Illinois, Missouri, and Iowa. The couple the Onondaga Cave State Park, the Missouri State Capitol, Starved Rock State Park, and Giant City State Park. There are plenty of nature shots, and the photos of different parts of the Onondaga Cave system are especially interesting to look at, and there is a brochure about the cave system in the album. There are also gorgeous photos of the Chicago city skyline and a visit to the Field Museum. Some of the photos feature a man or woman posing in front of locations, but many are clear snapshots of nature and buildings. Towards the end of the album there are a couple photos featuring children. There are negatives tucked behind many of the photos. Photographs measure between 4.5 x 3.5" and 6 x 4" and most are held to the pages with corner tabs, with annotations written either on the pages or on a separate piece of white paper and pasted in. Most pages are detached and about 11 photos are missing from the page. The snap shooter had a good eye and the photos are in good condition. Seller Inventory # 759
