Upcott Gill, London, 1898, "New edition, with numerous illustrations." Decorative green cloth gilt, in series with other Upcott Gill sporting books, with a patterned border on the left showing game-birds, animals and fish, and a gilt image of an angler in the main panel. advertisements on the front end-papers. 1898 edition: Issue A. 22 pp advertisements at rear (including 12 pp catalogue of books dated 4/98). The publisher's address is given as Strand, London. This issue does not include the photographs & engraved plates which are found in later issues. .
