Item description from seller

Two works by John Galsworthy. A First Edition of A Modern Comedy published in 1929 and a reprint of The Forsythe Sage published in 1931. Both books quarter bound in red leather, with red cloth boards. Raised spines with gilt decorations. Title and author in gilt on black label. Top edge in gilt. Marbled end papers. Both volumes show some signs of wear with a small piece of the label missing on The Forsythe Saga.
