Green cloth, spine titled in gilt. Slight browning but very good in price-clipped, spine-tanned dust-wrapper. Second issue dust-wrapper - pictorial scene printed in light green, text printed dark red. "This book is a result of some twenty-seven years of fowling on the East Coast from the Thames to the Wash. It does not pretend to be complete. No one can write a complete work on all the various aspects of wildfowling unless he has spent a lifetime at it. .The more one learns .the more one realises there is much more yet to learn." James Wentworth Day gives us the benefit of his experience, describing in some detail the world of pre-war wildfowling and the various English and Scottish fenlands. Well worth a read. .
