Item description from seller
Green cloth cover. xi+201, 4 plates ex-pagination. Can genuinely find no significant faults with this. Front endpaper has the coloured bookplate of University of Sussex chemist T.N. Metham. Concerns the central role of French scientist Jean Perrin (1870-1942) in establishing the atomic-molecular nature of matter over the 1890s-1913 period, particularly in relation to Brownian motion (for which he won a 1926 Nobel Prize). Apparently scarce.
