MOLLIS POLITICA "Soft Politics": A Novel of Rome's First Imperial Women

Germanicus, Rome’s Imperator Elect, is dead. From the ashes of his funeral pyre arise three women, each eager to stake her claim to a Roman Empire still fractured by the death of its first Imperator, Caesar Augustus. Agrippina, the granddaughter of Augustus, denied the honor of becoming Rome’s next First Lady by the murder of her husband, must now fight against the man who sits on the throne which rightly belongs to her son. Livilla, that very man's daughter-in-law, suddenly poised to become Rome’s next First Lady, covets the throne for her own sons. Meanwhile, Plancina, whose husband is implicated in the mysterious death, ignites the political discourse and threatens the very existence of the prize in her desperation to prove her own innocence. As these three women entangle an empire in their web of soft politics, a young girl who has lost her father must learn to navigate a treacherous family of liars and murderers.
