Undated but the preface is dated 1912 and this accords with The British Library record. Demy 8vo, c. 8.5 x 6 inches, pp. 374 with b&w plates and numerous illustrations in the text, hardback in cloth. Book condition - Very Good ; contents clean, no inscriptions, no foxing, binding firm with inner hinges intact ; red cloth with title in black on the spine ; probably a library rebind but not obviously so and very well done with no library marks inside or out (please see photos), very little wear at the corners and on the edges, back very clean, spine complete with ends intact and not faded, title complete and bright, front very clean ; book now housed in a removable, clear plastic cover. (NB. The patchiness of colour of the front cover photo is due to reflection from the plastic cover) No dustjacket. The contents are in twenty five chapters (plus an index,) with title such as Evolution of the Engine, Observations on Engine Valves, About Engine Control, The Motor of the Future, Live-Axle Construction, Regarding Resilient Wheels and Tyres, The Used of Stamped Sheet-Steel, The Motor Omnibus : Past, Present and Future, The Six Wheel Vehicle, The Petrol-Electric Car, Hot-Air Motors, Rotary Engines and the Gas-Turbine. A nice copy of an uncommon book.
