Item description from seller

20 pages including covers. Staple-bound booklet; H 22.75cm x L 15.25cm. Paper covers soiled and well rubbed with creasing along edges, bottom right corner of front cover chipped and curled. Bottom corners of interior leaves and rear cover curled likewise. B/w photographs and one map. State tourist publication with text reviewing facets of the forty archeologically significant Native American Indian mounds at the state park located near Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Includes brief text on Indian dress and ornamentation, implements, religion, burial customs, and Indian pottery. A fair copy. Although the publication's text is quite general, it is still interesting for its period (circa 1942) perspective.
