Previous owners signatures and inscriptions are penned on the front endpaper. Very good. The first three chapters of the book deal with "Primitive, Oriental and Medieval" instruments. These are followed by chapters on the organ, the piano and its predecessors, the violin family, wind instruments, and the modern orchestra.
