About this Item
This is a SECOND EDITION of this title, published by The Amalgamated Press Limited - date not stated and unable to determine from research, although early 1900s. The paperback is in Good condition for its age. The front cover has pieces missing from all four corners and along the spine, as the photos show, and might possibly have the rear cover missing - see later on in this description. The spine is chipped at top and bottom and also along the middle, so the title is largely gone. It has been sellotape repaired. When you open the book, the first inch from the spine out is glued to the opening end paper / adverts. Turn these pages however and the book opens as you'd expect, although the staples are visible and rusty. This edition has three full page glossy pictures and whilst the pages are toned, the text is clear and legible. The title page confirms this is number 54 of the Daily Mail Sixpenny Novels and opposite the title page is a list of the other 53 novels. The story itself is 108 pages long and finishes with "The End" so I can confirm it is complete. Thereafter is a further 12 pages of either adverts or text / fiction. And this is where I'm unsure if the book ends at page 120 or whether the rear of the jacket is missing - I suspect the latter. Seller Inventory # 017830

Store Description
All books in my store are my own and in my possession. I expect customers to read my listings fully and look at all photos and be aware of the terms. I will work with everyone to resolve issues but I expect the same courtesy back - if I don't reply to an email within 24 hours it means I haven't received it so you'll need to resend.
I charge shipping that reflects my actual costs. ABE only allows me to set one postage rate so I charge the rate for hardbacks sent in a box with bubble wrap and polystyrene peanuts. Where postage is less - eg a paperback or small hardback - I refund the difference once I get my receipts and know the exact cost. ALL UK parcels are tracked. if you live outside the UK tracking is NOT provided unless you choose priority mail. PRIORITY MAIL TRACKING IS IMMEDIATELY UPDATED otherwise I will only update ABE with UK tracking details on request, and only when 10 working days has passed. There will be times when, due to the value of the book, I will insist on priority mail and this will be clearly stated in my listing. If you ignore this, your order will be refused.
