About the Author

Alex W MacLeod lives in Nova Scotia. He lived there most of his life in an old house on a hill in a rural community. The Tracks a refuge is his first novel. Alex worked as a labourer, a clerk, a teacher, a lawyer and a musician but he likes writing novels more than that other stuff. Alex created the characters for The Tracks but they took over the writing. They kept him around because, being entirely fictional, they didn’t own a computer or even a pen. Alex's job was to be true to the people the characters seemed to want to be.
