Scott was a Canadian author, predominantly of detective and espionage novels; his son, also R.T.M. Scott also wrote under the same name. This second impression was published October 24, 1931, following first printing of October 15, 1931.

BOOK: Boards with maroon lettering and design to spine; square and straight; top-stain faded, internally unmarked save for offsetting and some discolouration to endpapers. DJ: Dust jacket lacking price, some wear and creasing to hinges and extremities with wear to spine ends, small area of loss and tearing to tail of spine, with some further loss to bottom right corner of front cover, yellowed to back inner flap. Jacket with list of publisher titles verso. Presents soundly overall.
