Made of My Father

In the sequel to Mary Wallace Roanhorse, Mary re-locates to Albuquerque to start a new life after the accidental death of Charlie McHale, her beloved friend and mentor. She finds work as an attorney for the poor and joins the Waves Liberation, a women’s resistance movement fighting back against the Restoration crusade that has a firm grip on American political and religious institutions. She falls in love with Cobalt, a computer and Internet savant and after many years of separation, she re-unites with her father, who abandoned her and her mother decades earlier. Her saga is not over. To protect other sexually abused children, she testifies against her foster father, George Alexander. George’s adoptive son Reverend Mitch Alexander, a leading Restoration crusader, comes to the aid of his father. Determined to destroy Mary, Reverend Mitch organizes a campaign to discredit her and insure his father is found not guilty.
