Maestro (Paperback)

MAESTRO is a novel about Nicolo Paganini, told by an aide and admirer, that takes place between 1805 and 1840. Who was Niccolò Paganini? Virtuoso . . . Egomaniac . . . Devil’s Disciple . . . Sexual Predator . . . Charlatan . . . Astute Businessman . . . Greedy Opportunist . . . a Gambler? Read Maestro and meet the people Paganini knew, visit the places he appeared, discover what others thought about him during his career, and then decide for yourself who he was. Whether you love classical music or know little about it, you’ll find every aspect of this book fascinating . . . and surprising beyond measure.

Arlon K. Stubbe encountered the joy of reading and writing in Third Grade, when he placed second in a reading contest, part of a summer program at the local public library during which he read and reported on 63 books during those three vacation months. Later on, his career led him to write and deliver over 2,000 sermons in 41 years. Nearing retirement, he turned for the first time to fiction and joined a writers' group at Penn State University, Shenango Campus, where he shared stories and poems with others. Solid feedback encouraged him to try writing a novel, and eight of them are now in print and e-book versions. Some are contemporary literature, while others -- like MAESTRO -- are historical fiction. STUBBE has written Op-Ed pieces for three local newspapers and more of his articles appear on the website HubPages under the 'hubber' name of Bear Tales. The author and his wife Jozette divide their time between homes in Florida and Pennsylvania, where he continues to pursue his passion for research and writing.
