About the Author

Sandra D. Hoffmann is a Brazilian-American author, former teacher, and journalist. A kid at heart, she is passionate about children and education. "The Magic Jar" was born during Sandra's first year of teaching at an urban school as an emotional intelligence tool that not only strengthened her empathy and patience, but also taught her students to manage big feelings. She now lives in Wisconsin, with her family and two pets, and works at a public library.
