About the Author
Colin Eleazer, was 6 years old when he performed his first magic show for his Cub Scout Pack. Within 2 years of that first show, Colin, was invited to perform for the first time on the Las Vegas strip! A fellow magician nicknamed him, "That Magic Kid" during a cruise, and it became his "brand", after all, it was easier to remember "That Magic Kid" rather than "Eleazer". Colin, began to perform regularly in and around his native Charlotte, North Carolina, for birthday parties, civic groups, corporate events, museums, regional theaters, and children's hospitals. Colin's primary goal is to entertain people and help them SMILE and forget about life's realities, if only for a little while. This is especially true when he volunteers his time at children's hospitals and charity events. He has performed both in the community areas of large children's hospitals as well as one-on-one for patients sadly, near the end of their fight. These performances really make Colin's efforts worthwhile, and show him first-hand, that his talent and passion is truly "a gift" to be shared. Colin has helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars in performances for charity groups. Colin has been featured in, "Kidabra Journal" and has had routines published in "The Linking Ring" magazine. He has appeared on regional TV and has been recognized by national casting directors and talent agents for consideration on network broadcasts. Soon he may be introduced to millions on one of these broadcasts. Primarily a stage magician, he has performed for audiences ranging from ages 4 to 80, in venues that vary from living rooms to grand historic theaters holding 1,500+ people. Colin enjoys telling stories with his magic. Rather than just running through one trick after another, he ties multiple effects into his stories, sometimes adding music and sound effects. From classic props, he creates new routines and brings fresh looks to his audiences. He also collects vintage props and magic related objects. Colin has been fortunate to meet, talk magic and become acquaintances with many notable people in the magic world, including; David Copperfield, Penn & Teller, Mac King, Rick Thomas, Gay Blackstone, Adele Friel Rhindress, Adam Trent, Dan Sperry, Jason Bishop, Terry Evanswood, Hiawatha Johnson, Darren Romeo and the list goes on.... Colin is a member of International Brotherhood of Magicians, Society of American Magicians, International Magician's Society and Kidabra International.
