On a summer camping trip when it was time for bedtime stories, the children's favourite books were nowhere to be found. Everyone was ready to go to bed, but the children begged for made-up stories instead of having no stories at all.
Marci wasn't ready for that request and had never created stories at the spur of the moment, but with some encouragement and everyone in their sleeping bags, she began, "Once upon a time there was a Prince, named Edward, whose family ruled a land far away."
Prince Edward was a very likeable person who loved to visit all of the people in his kingdom and help them if he could.
The adventures of Prince Edward and the Magic Ribbon grew and were polished over time with new stories required on other occasions as other family visits, sleepovers and trips required more stories.
Edward's discovery of the Magic Ribbon and four of their following adventures are chronicled in this book. Prince Edward is always surprised by what the Magic Ribbon can do. We hope you are too!

About the Author
Marci Smith is a mother of two and Gemma to five grandchildren. She was born in Edmonton, Alberta lived her youth in Beauharnois, Quebec, and spent her early married life in Montreal, Quebec and London, Ontario. She has called Barrie, Ontario home for many years. Marci was an Administrative Assistant, Lifeguard and Swimming Instructor before retiring and she continues to read, craft and create.
In the 1970s, Marci's family took camping trips from Barrie to the Canadian east and west coasts and these stories were initially the product of those trips due to missing story books.
As the stories were shared at sleepovers and family gatherings, Marci's nieces and nephews often asked that these stories be written down. At long last, here they are! Auntie Marci is sorry that you had to wait such a long time!
"There is no strain involved in writing the Magic Ribbon stories. Little problems just seemed to arrive without any fuss and every challenge was solved immediately by the Magic Ribbon, making many adults giggle with me."
