About the Author: M.E.A. McNeil is a writer and illustrator. Daughter of a Finnish mother, she is a member of the Finnish-American community and has traveled in Finland as well as in other parts of the world. Recipient of grants for writing and producing plays for children based on myth, she has long been involved with puppet productions and other projects involving myth and folklore. She is the mother of three sons and lives in Marin County, California.
