The Magical Ritual of the Sanctum Regnum : Interpreted by the Tarot Trumps (Classic Reprint)

A guided interpretation of the Tarot Trumps and disciplined ritual practice, Sanctum Regnum offers practical steps for applying occult ideas to real work.

This edition translates Levi’s traditional material into accessible guidance for modern readers curious about symbolic practice and ceremonial ritual. The book combines tarot meanings with a framework for ritual action, emphasizing how words, will, and ceremony translate inner ideals into external results. It also presents cautions about communication with the beyond, while outlining careful, structured approaches to meditation, preparation, and ethical discipline. Clear explanations and historical context help readers understand the roots of these traditions and how they can be responsibly engaged.

• Learn the meanings attached to each Tarot Trump and how they relate to daily practice.
• Follow step-by-step rituals that connect intention, speech, and action.
• Explore the interplay of mind, body, and ceremonial tools in magical work.
• Understand safety considerations and the ethics of spiritual exploration.

Ideal for readers who enjoy Tarot, Hermetic philosophy, and hands-on occult instruction, this edition is a fit for students seeking structured ritual practice and historical context.

Eliphas Levi (1810–1875) was the greatest innovator in the revival of Western occultism, most significantly with his great leap of imagination that linked the tarot trumps to the letters of the Hebrew alphabet. He set out his tarot theory in his book "Transcendental Magic," but never revealed its magical application. This was finally made public in 1896 when Dr. Westcott—creator of the Golden Dawn—translated and printed Levi's secret manuscript. It is this rare text that we are now re-issuing.
