Red cloth with embossed letters and rubbed gilt on cover and gilt letters illegible on spine. Slightly shaky binding, with bumped top corners. Unmarked and in overall good condition, with separate pamphlet, "Supplement and Index" to Parts I & II laid in. The great charter, originally written in 1215, has been preserved, handed down and supplemented through over seven and a half centuries. This book contains the history of the Charta (Part I; Romance) and Genealogy (Pedigrees). 240 pp.; followed by Index; and pp. 269-284 ( Supplement and Index (laid in)) .
