Main Event

They’ve spent a lifetime in each other’s orbits. But one little secret will either break them for good or bind them forever.

Dr. Shyanne Bennett has an almost perfect life: her own home, half a family practice, and a fat orange cat. Her dating life sucks, but what else did she expect from the tiny pond of Cedar Creek, Kentucky? She has her two Gen Z cousins running her dating apps…for better or worse.

Dean Akers was supposed to be a world champion by now. Not sacrificing his body for a blood-thirsty audience in community center gyms in small, rural towns. He’s tired and jaded and ready to quit. But if he quits, what was it all for?

As high school sweethearts, they were voted cutest couple by their senior class. They were supposed to last. But when they were eighteen, Dean chose wrestling and Shyanne chose medicine, even though neither of them have ever been able to truly let go.

Dean thinks she’s stubborn and obstinate.

Shyanne thinks he’s flaky and unreliable.

There are decades of hurt and history between them…but one thing may be strong enough to bridge the gap.

A baby.

Main Event is the second novella in the Bluegrass Performance Center series. They are short and spicy and intended to be enjoyed in a single sitting…a little afternoon delight, if you will.
