About the Author

Joe Patton is Chairman and CEO of Patton Consultants, Inc., the leading advisors to management on equipment service, logistics, and support systems. Before founding Patton Consultants in 1976, Joe was a Regular Army Officer and spent eleven years with Xerox Corporation. He is author of over two hundred published articles and eight books, including the Service Parts Handbook and After the Sale - How to Manage Product Service for Customer Satisfaction and Profit.

Joe Patton earned a BS degree from Penn State and a MBA in marketing from the University of Rochester. He was awarded the Pennsylvania State University College of Education 1999 Leadership and Service Award. Joe is a Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Quality Engineering and a Fellow of both ASQ - The American Society for Quality and SOLE � The International Society of Logistics. He is a Certified Professional Logistician (CPL), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE), a National Association of Service Managers Life-Certified Service Executive (L-CSE), and a twenty-five + year member of AFSM International.
