About the Author

Lacy Brejcha has been an elementary education teacher for over 15 years. She graduated from Baylor University in 2002. Currently, she is the GT District Coordinator, Elementary GT Teacher, Makerspace Teacher (Innovation and Enrichment), and Instructional Technologist at Bosqueville ISD. In the spring, she will publish her first book with Prufrock Press, "Makerspaces In School: A Month-by-Month Schoolwide Model for Building Meaningful Makerspaces" (ISBN 978-1-61821-780-6). Lacy has been married to Jim for 15 years and they have two daughters. Brooke who is 10 years old and Grace who is 6 years old. After building a successful Makerspace, she is excited to share how a Makerspace can work in your classroom, campus, or as a school wide model.
