About the Author

Gail Hercher, B.F.A., M.F.A., a paper artist and teacher, is the owner of The Paper Crane, a studio/gallery in Beverly, Massachusetts, that offers exhibits, workshops, and supplies for the paper arts. She has taught for more than 20 years in schools, museums, and colleges and currently gives orkshops throughout New England and at The Paper Crane and Montserrat College of Art.

She has served as a visiting artist at many locations including, The Newport Art Museum (RI.), Temari Center for Asian and Pacific Arts (Hawaii), The Black Ships Festival, The Vermont Alliance for Arts Education, and is on the Event and Residency Roster of the Massachusetts Cultural Council. She exhibits her work and has received several awards and grants, including a Fulbright Fellowship to study in Europe.
