About the Author

Ivan H. Scheier is a pioneer in the field of volunteerism. He was founder and director of the National Information Center on Volunteerism from 1970-1979. He also is the founder of Voluntas, a retreat residence for dream-chasers in Madrid, New Mexico. He has written several articles and books on the topic of volunteerism. Currently he resides as a Reiki practitioner in Truth-or-Consequences, New Mexico.
