Gunter Swoboda is a well-respected psychologist, speaker, and author with over forty years of experience helping people through counselling, mentoring, coaching, and teaching. Lorin Josephson has a rich background in mental health and has studied history, philosophy, and psychotherapy, which fuels her belief in the value of Practical Wisdom for tackling life's tough questions. Together, they aim to help men move beyond just getting through each day and start living with a real sense of purpose and dignity.

Meet Gunter Swoboda, a renowned psychologist, speaker, author, and producer based in Australia. Gunter has more than 40 years of experience in counselling, coaching, and consulting. He specialises in helping boys and men, with various issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, anger, addiction, trauma, and relationship problems. In addition to his professional practice, Gunter is a prolific writer and speaker. He has authored several books, including his first historical fiction "Mountains of the Sea"; his first non-fiction "Making Good Men Great: Surfing a New Masculinity." He has also delivered a TEDx talk on "How to Make Good Men Great." In addition, Gunter is a creative producer who has developed podcasts, documentaries, and web series that explore the themes of masculinity, leadership, and social change.

Lorin Josephson holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and a Master of Arts in Organisational Ethics and has had an extensive career as a mental health clinician. A lover of fiction, Lorin believes that philosophy and storytelling can provide practical wisdom for life's difficult questions and help us act authentically in the world. Having studied philosophy, history, and psychotherapy extensively, she has used the knowledge she has gained in both her personal and professional life. Her academic work focuses on individuals and their relationships, exploring how we become who we are and how our experiences shape the way we critically reflect on our values and the ethics that guide our lives.Her debut novel, Amulets of Power, co-authored with Gunter Swoboda, was released in Summer 2025.

Dr. Mark Williams is an internationally recognised professor of cognitive neuroscience, with over 25 years experience conducting behavioural and brain imaging research focusing on our social skills. He has taught the fundamentals of neuroscience to a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as publishing more than 70 scientific articles. Mark has been awarded numerous high profile fellowships and grants, and worked both at MIT in the USA and at universities in Australia.
