Making "Poldark"

Initially "The Making of Poldark" was to be completed by a ghostwriter. Robin Ellis undertakes the task of writing the book himself. Written in a flowing conversational style with insights into Cornwall and the actor's life. This is a great read for any fan of the original Poldark series. Ellis manages to make himself disappear into the background whilst describing in acute details how the original series was filmed. Beautiful pictures add to the book's appeal.

Robin Ellis has enjoyed a long and successful career in British television and theatre, including a stint with the Royal Shakespeare Company. He lives now in southwest France with his American wife.

Inspired by a lifelong passion for cooking plus a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes, he wrote his first cookbook, Delicious Dishes for Diabetics in 2011. His second cookbook, Healthy Eating for Life (2014), is aimed at everyone wanting to eat more healthily without sacrificing quality or taste. His third cookbook, Mediterranean Cooking for Diabetics (2016) includes full-color photos of his recipes as well as glimpses of his home in the South of France.
