About the Author

Dr. Gerald L. Miller is also the author of "A Hundred Camels: A Mission Doctor's Sojourn and Murder Trial in Somalia." He is a family physician who worked for forty-two years in a rural Indiana community before retiring from the Markle Medical Center in 2006.

Shari Wagner teaches poetry and memoir writing for the Indiana Writers Center. She is the author and editor of five books and has had her work appear in The Writers Almanac with Garrison Keillor, Ted Kooser's American Life in Poetry, North American Review, Shenandoah, and The Christian Century.
